Local Websites and Groups
- Kirkland Downtown Association is a non-profit run by local merchants. Their kirklanddowntown.org website is a great resource for downtown events and happenings.
- This week in Kirkland newsletter and podcast are the city's announcement and communication vehicle.
- Be Neighborly Kirkland is a private Facebook Group for Kirkland residents. If you have a Facebook account, you can request to join. Members post about local topics and strive to create a sense of community among residents.
- Buy Nothing Kirkland (South) is a private Facebook Group. Members post about items that they want to give away (instead of dropping the items off at the Salvation Army or Goodwill, for example). If neighbors are interested in receiving these free items, they reply to the post.
- Next Door is a website that organizes members of a community into neighborhood groups. While the partition for Next Door in Kirkland doesn't exactly match up with the Moss Bay borders, you may find this a useful group for local connections to vendors, alerts of crime on your streets, and so forth. Our page is here
- The Kirkland Reporter is a weekly print newspaper and news and information website.
- Kirkland Weblog is a local blog now ended, but older posts still accessible.
